#PdFUA Side Events!

Personal Democracy Forum Ukraine is all about democracy but not only about the conference. We are proud and happy to have 3 associated workshops taking place the next day after the event, not all of them are open to all participants, but we want you to know regardless. Should you have any questions regarding the workshops you know what to do — let us know!

Ladies and Gentelmen, meet our key note speaker: Eleanor Stewart!

Ladies and Gentelmen, meet our key note speaker: Eleanor Stewart!

Eleanor Stewart, currently the Head of Transparency for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom government has been working on openness policies for the past 10 years and has an extremely valuable experience in this regard.

Do you know what it means to take an abstract value and then put it to action? Have you ever done it?

Eleanor has been the one responsible for driving the necessary institutional change needed to support Transparency and Open Data. She also worked on embedding digital methodologies and processes in the day to day work of a foreign affairs ministry. Let’s quote a very concrete example: Eleanor launched the data.gov.uk portal working with Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Andrew Stott to facilitate the release and reuse of government data. Now, how is that for social change?

Eleanor will tell her about her work and experiences with creating impactful and sustainable policies. We can’t wait. Can you?

Register Now, You Have Only Two Days Left! #PdFUA

Personal Democracy Forum Ukraine is coming up in 16 days, the registrations close this Wednesday.

261 people registered already, out of all registrations we will pick 130 event participants. Do not miss the chance to join them! One of the PDF Ukraine goals is to provide space for people working with transparency and accountability to meet and exchange experiences. And we take it seriously, so take your business cards with you 🙂

Another goal is of course to learn and get inspired. Check out the agenda, it is ready and steady, we keep adding background information about our speakers as we go. If you have any questions whatsoever, let us know. We want you to feel comfortable and informed.

Personal Democracy Forum Ukraine coming up in a few weeks!

PDF Ukraine is about to take place in exactly 20 days (counting!) and we already have more registration requests we could dream of. Starting June 8th, after the registration closes, we will carefully select participants, so that we can all meet the event’s goal: to net-work for democracy.

Starting this week every other day we will post information about the great speakers and participants coming to Kyiv on June 22nd. All our content will be available in both English and Ukrainian. We are going to do this, so that we can get inspired, get excited and ready for the upcoming event.

If you have any questions regarding the program, the languages spoken, travel grants or even the food – don’t hesitate to let us know (write to Anna Kuliberda at akuliberda@techsoup.org

or Yurii Khorunzhyi at y.khorunzhiy@opora.org.ua). We will do our best to equip you with
everything you need to comfortably learn and work during PDF Ukraine.
